Da College Life

Well I'm sick so I decided to finally set aside some time from all the partying and weightlifting... and studying, to put something on my blog. Since I am not in the greatest mind right now from drowsiness I think that a list will do just fine. And the list will be about my great experiences at college so far.

And in no particular order...

-I have started teaching myself piano for the last two days. On the first day when I told people that I had just started teaching myself they were really surprised and even one girl thought I was a music major composing music. I wasn't sure how good you normally could play on your first day, but I was playing some of my favorite songs and you could recognize them. So I think I am a pretty good instructor. I am looking for an electric keyboard on craigslist.com and planning on taking the class "Beginning to Keyboarding" winter quarter.

-My floor is utterly amazing. We are the BroHo, short for Brotherhood. We have the most school spirit. We do everything together as a floor. Eat lunch and dinner together. Go out on the town. Paint our chests for soccer games. (I'm the first "R" in "Darren" for those who read my blog, but don't know me personally.) Play all the intramural sports together. All doors are open all the time. We are also known for our scooters. We have like six scooters on our floor and that is your main transportation around the residence hall. You grab a scooter even if you are just going next door ten feet away. We have the best skits. And we are also known as "the hot floor."

-I bought a niiiiice 5.1 surround sound system. I blast my music like no other and the bass just shakes the room. The girls the floor below me say they don't like my taste in music though.

-I get to hit up the weight room every other day easily. Two great locations. My workouts have been intense and nice. That is pretty much what I look forward to during class.

-Haven't partied at all

-I watch what I eat nutritionally

-I make a lot of friends everyday

-I had Bubble Tea, which isn't tea, and the bubbles aren't air.

-70% girls

-I had a lot of fun making my spartan outfit for "The History of the BroHo" skit. (That's me with the ridiculously good looking gold helmet.)

-I have decided to take up a lot of new hobbies including, but not limited to: blacksmithing, woodworks, outfit making, scootering, writing thoughts in my pocketbook during class when boring, listening to music, not uploading any pictures to Facebook of my college experience because I don't have a camera *hint* *hint*, being self-sufficient (I did my own laundry!), being other-sufficient (a girl made my bed for me), playing pool and BroHo ball.

-Venturing around and doing college stuff that has no importance

So pretty much my mind held on long enough to scribble down all that, but now I am afraid that I am on a crash course for bed. I hope this entry made everyone jealous of my time at college.
